Daniel Cleary Autograph

22 Oct, 2010

Cleaning up my basement I stumbled upon this gem in my hockey card bin.

In 1997 my family went to Trinity Train Loop. My uncle was close with the owner and he was informed that an NHLer was staying in one of the cabins.

Daniel Cleary.

Of course, at that point no one knew who Daniel Cleary was. He only played six games with the Blackhawks that year.

I didn’t care. I was 12 and I wanted to meet him.

He was partying with his friends. Answered the door with a beer in his hand.

It reads: Greg / All the Best / Daniel Cleary / 8

I had him sign the back of a Trinity Train Loop postcard.
